Clara Gluten Free

Places to See

Since I'm always on the look out for GF places to eat, here's a list of ones I love...

Glutenus Minimus- A terrific bakery in Belmont, MA. I think I like them more gluten maximus bakeries.

I Got Goodies- A candy store in North Adams, MA that does both regular and gluten free. The gluten-free was safe and decidedly yummy as far as I was concerned! (I couldn't find a website, but they are located 73 Main St, North Adams.)

Legal Sea Foods- Boston-based, upscale seafood chain (they have other stuff too). Recently they came out with a gluten free menu and in general, it's very good. They are very accommodating and knowledgeable about their food and ingredients, but be sure to ask about everything (including spice mixes). Always love to go here.

Pie in the Sky - Before going GF, this was my family's favorite restaurant in Stowe, VT (probably) and recently, they have become extremely good at dealing with GF issues. Like dedicated area of the kitchen - type serious. Like we went to a pizza spot and no one was sick and we felt so nourished. Top marks.

Twist Bakery & Cafe- This super allergy-friendly bakery/cafe in Millis, MA is entirely gluten-free and gluten cross-contamination-free, as well as peanut free. They also label anything with soy, dairy, and coconut. A safe place to eat!! And, even better, the food is delicious and the hours are very good.

Sweet Freedom Bakery - The amazing bakery in Philadelphia, PA where we got all our Thanksgiving dessert. I can't say enough about the cupcakes. But, even more- they had the pumpkin pie I have ever had. Or thought about, or dreamed of, really.
